The Emerging Payments Association Africa (EPAA) is a commercial membership association of payments industry influencers.

We are part of an international association with member organisations in London and Belgrade currently the group runs more than 50 events each year, delivers many projects to drive change, helps to connect the eco-system, encourages innovation and profitable business growth.

The EPAA’s vision is in line with the EPA associations around the globe we are focused on Africa where we believe we can through payment innovation and global partnerships turn Africa into the global hotspot for payments innovation and most importantly development of financial inclusion and through that drive social upliftment across the continent.

As we set out to become the most influential trade body in emerging payments in Africa, the EPAA’s mission, to collaborate to innovate, has the potential to improve lives everywhere.

We seek to emulate the UK our founder association who have a community of over 150 Members and growing. We are looking to develop an association with over 200 members from all parts of Africa from across the payments value chain; including payments schemes, banks and issuers, merchant acquirers, PSPs, retailers, and more. These companies will come together, from across the continent and internationally, to join our association, collaborate, and speak with a unified voice.

Already in the founding associations we have brought together 100’s of likeminded companies , transacting more than £100bn annually and employing more than 300,000 staff, we now have a significant influence over the industry’s future and the EPPA is looking to replicate and grow that influence to deliver the dreams of the continent with greater wealth and prosperity for all the stakeholders and the people of Africa.
